Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs) are the listing of web pages returned by a search engine in answer to a keyword query. The results showed by search engines generally include a list of web pages with titles, a link to the page, and a short description showing where the keywords have matched that content within the page.
SERPs are updated by search engines according to their ranking algorithms which decide the position of websites and pages on the web. The very first page displayed by the search query can also be called as Number 1 SERP for the entered keyword. It may also refer to a single page of links searched, or to the set of all links returned for a search inquiry.
