Text Based links are search engine friendly and can be crawled easily by the search engine robots. Complex links like those in javaScript drop down menus and Flash based navigation are not crawl-able by the search engines.
Even if you have image based links or JavaScript drop-down links, or some Flash links in your navigation or anywhere else on your webpage, use text based links within the content body and in the footer to enable the search engine spiders to crawl to other pages of your site. This will be more crawler-friendly and at the same time will help in capturing visitor’s attention as well.
