Government websites and those of educational institutions also gain trust and build authority by staying on the web for a long time, and also by getting natural links from news sites, directories, weblogs and especially from other regional websites, and other government and educational websites. So, when getting links for your website, try and get links from good authority websites, and from those which have .edu, .org. or .gov TLD.
