Doorway pages are those web pages which are designed specifically to draw search engine visitors to your website. These pages are built to act as doorways to your site. Usually if you can’t reach the page by following the site navigation, then it is a doorway page. These pages are not supposed to be visited. Instead, you are just supposed to find them in the search results and then click through to get to the particular site. Many SEO firms use Doorway pages in routine but we would advice you not to use them because of several reasons. These pages are like huge banner ads or one-click advertising and they don’t do a very good job of generating traffic. Many users simply hit their back buttons when presented with a doorway page so it’s preferable not to use this technique.
